At 18, she left The County for the city, chasing opportunity — and she found it. Success came, along with wealth and everything that was supposed to matter. But somewhere along the way, it began to feel hollow.

 

At 30, she returned home.

 

Caught between two worlds — the fast pace of the city and the slower rhythm of The County — she eventually chose simplicity. Despite having enough money to never work again, she took a job at Miss Lily’s Café, finding more meaning in small daily connections than she ever did in the city.

 

It was there she met Whiskey Jack.

 

She saw exactly who he was — rough, wild, complicated — but also kind, loyal, and good at heart. Where others saw trouble, she saw something worth holding onto.
